Grimm’s Updates

4 Dec

I realize that it is time that I update everyone on what is happening with the Grimm’s.  The Tour de Tucson, in November, went really well.  I managed to finish all 42 miles on my hand-cycle.  It was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.  I was told that it was going to be pretty hilly, but what I didn’t know was that most of the last 20 miles of the race was uphill! That same weekend we had some dear friends come into town to
celebrate Thanksgiving early. You just can’t have too many Thanksgiving feasts you know!

December is looking to be just as busy as November.  Saturday, Dec. 8th we will be having a book sale/signing at AshlandRanch Park (next to Ashland Ranch Elem.) from 8-11am.  We are looking forward to meeting some more neighbors and making new friends while helping everyone get Christmas gifts at the same time.

Tuesday Dec. 11th, Dave and I have been invited back to the “Networking Arizona” radio show on 1100 KFNX from 3:15-3:45 (Mt. Time).  The host, Carol Blonder, will be interviewing us about our books and future plans.   We welcome call-ins to ask us
questions, and the first twenty people to call will win one free book of their choice from our series.  This is a great opportunity to get some free Christmas gifts for the little ones in your life.  If you aren’t a local of AZ you can still catch the show on the website www.1100kfnx.com.

At the first of the year Dave will be starting the artwork on our fourth book Mommy, Tell Me a Story about a Fish.  We are very excited about this because it will be the first time, in our series, that the main character will be a girl!  Pearl is a little pink fish that has to overcome some bullying and in the process makes a new friend.  We are looking forward to adding it to the Mommy, Tell Me a Story books.

In the mean time we are hoping to catch the attention of a main stream publisher so we can continue adding more books to the collection.  Thank you so much for all of the support we have already felt from our new fans.  Every time I read my books to
children and see the smiles on their faces, I am reminded of why I love to write and share my stories.
